She goes above and beyond for her students. She is very caring and makes learning fun. Students feel loved in her classroom. She always has time for her students and their families should they need anything. She is a mentor as well as a teacher. All schools would be better with a Mrs. Kinnaird in them!

Mrs. Hare goes above and beyond for her students. She always has a kind smile on her face. My daughter loves being in her class, she’s learned so much from Mrs. Hare.

Mrs. Rogers makes her lessons engaging. She dresses up and creates many hands on experiences. Room transformations are common to engage students in learning.

She cares about her students no matter their learning level. She is positive and encouraging. She is one of the reasons I wanted to become a teacher.

Mrs. Buerger is our only first grade teacher for a class that has grown to 25 kids. She goes out of her way to make sure every child is learning and will take time to message me separately if there are any issues at school. Our son is deaf and Mrs Stevens is so patient with him and his needs. She has amazing communication skills with the students and the parents whether it’s a note, an email, or in person. We know are son is in great hands when he is with her!

Lamar Elementary is located in a very low income part of the city. Most students do not have the same luxuries as other students that may attend schools such as Fowler, or West Foundation. Mr. Taylor gives each student equal attention and opportunity. She puts so much of her own money and personal time into making sure her students have the best learning environment and the best opportunities to grow and learn. Becca is an outstanding teacher. She is very caring and loving. My granddaughter had her last year, and still to this day wants to watch videos of her , just to see her.
