I have known Mrs. Rowland for many years. She is a very caring teacher. She will change her teaching technique to make sure her students are grasping the lessons being taught. She puts her “kids” first and is always trying to make learning fun.

I would like to nominate Mrs. Michelle Cassetty, Henrietta Elementary, for the Red River Chevy Teacher Appreciation award for 2020. Mrs. Cassetty has been educating students for thirty years, and as an educator myself, I can attest to the fact that there is no one I know that deserves this recognition more than her. Michelle graduated Cum Laude from Midwestern State University in 1989 where she was nominated as Student Teacher of the Year by Region IX. [...]

Mr. Kelly Smith has been teaching for many years at Holliday High School. He does an outstanding job of teaching students and relating information back to them. He is always willing to help tutor students and review them when they need any assistance. He goes above and beyond to be there behind the scenes. Shawn Duthie is the epitome of teaching excellence. The fruit of his care, concern, and compassion for students — spanning almost 20 years at Holliday High School — is clearly evident in our school’s hallway of UIL Academic State Championships won predominantly by students under his tutelage. Our daughter has had a wonderful year with ms.denney. She is very involved with the kids. She is very creative when it comes to teaching them what they need to know. I feel like she is their mother away from home. My daughter came home from school with the paper begging me to vote for ms.denney.

Mrs Fieldhouse cares about her students. I know that’s why teachers teach but hers is on a deeper humankind level. Not just a career.

Mrs. Aguilar goes above and beyond to make sure her students receive the best teaching experience. My son feels very comfortable asking her for help and he knows very well that she will do what is necessary in order for him to understand the material being taught. She worries about her students well being, and makes sure I, as a parent, feel comfortable asking her questions about my sons teachings as well.

She is an amazing person with a passion for seeing her students grow personally and academically. She puts in so many extra hours making sure everything gets done.

Ms. Dennis is such a loving person. She truly cares about the wellbeing of each child and wants them all to succeed. She is happy to take the time to explain or help out anyway she can. She is known for going above and beyond for her students.

Jana is one of the most dependable, trustworthy and friendly teachers I’ve had the privileged of working with. She is on several leadership committees, coaches Dictionary Skills for UIL and remains a steadfast leader for our 5th grade ELAR deparment. Our team is better because she is here.
